The highlight of your day will be experiencing the thrill of sailing on the fabulous catamaran Castaway Girl to Ship Wreck Cove at Buck Island. The Castaway Girl is fast and stable, with spacious sun decks and a large comfortable cockpit for those who prefer the shad. Sail in the warm Caribbean breeze and spend 1½ hours snorkeling and exploring beautiful coral reefs filled with tropical fish, sea animals and turtles. The wartime shipwreck Catanza C lies 25 feet below the surface and is home to a wide variety of sea life. Your relaxing but fun-filled day begins with a short scenic ride to a quaint marina where you will board your catamaran. At the marina dock, the friendly crew will greet you and acquaint you with the vessel. You will then glide along the eastern end of the island before setting sail to the most pristine of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The brisk sail across Pillsbury Sound brings the catamaran to its special mooring destination where you can swim across to beautiful Honeymoon Beach. St. John: National Park Island Tour


Departing via tour boat to St. John, known as the “Emerald of the Caribbean”, you’ll arrive in the charming town of Cruz Bay, where you’ll board an open-air safari bus for a scenic drive around this beautiful island. Along the way, your driver/guide will provide insights about the island’s rich history, lush, tropical foliage and indigenous wildlife. In addition to seeing the white sand beaches and views of the British Virgin Islands, you’ll see remnants of ruins from one of the last working plantations found on St. John. Back along the coast, you’ll stop at scenic overlooks such as Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay, Hawksnest Bay and Caneel Bay to catch a glimpse of the famous Rockefeller Plantation. The tour concludes at the dock in the quaint town of Cruz Bay. You will have time for shopping prior to boarding your tour boat for the return journey to St. Thomas and your ship.

This narrated excursion departs by large, comfortable tour boat. Enjoy sightseeing along the southern coast line of St. Thomas as you pass Pillsbury Sound and reach Cruz Bay on St. John. The island of St. John is an unspoiled paradise of white sand beaches and lush tropical scenary. Take in the views of Cruz Bay, Hawksnest Bay and Caneel Bay Plantation. The highlight of this excursion is undoubtedly world-famous Trunk Bay—home to a one-of-a-kind underwater trail. This is three excursions in one—a fun and challenging package of kayaking, hiking and snorkeling. Ashort transfer brings you to the St. Thomas Mangrove Wildlife Refuge & Marine Sanctuary. Here, you’ll kayak past the many small islands in the mangrove lagoon while viewing breathtaking volcanic cliffs and the impressive Red Point geologic blow hole. Leave your watercraft at the shore and begin a hike through the mangrove forest, along a scenic beach of coral and shell rubble with views overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Buck Island and French Cap in the distance. There are tidal pools to explore and don’t miss the excitement of the “Hermit Crab Race” and a pirate’s treasure hunt for kids. Slap on a mask and slip into the water to snorkel in the clear protected waters of the coral-fringed mangrove lagoon. You’ll view a remnant of a shipwreck that teems with colorful marine life. Meet your driver at the pier and enjoy an exhilarating ride to the St. Peter Great House, which affords splendid views of the numerous surrounding British Virgin Islands. You'll stop along the way for some breathtaking photo opportunities and enjoy picturesque views of palm-fringed, heart-shaped Magen's Bay from Drake's Seat. From the Skyline overlook at 800 feet above sea level, you can see your cruise ship below and snap a picture of the historical harbor. Your trip begins with a scenic drive, by open air safari bus or van to Drake’s Seat, a breathtaking vantage point from which Sir Francis Drake himself once viewed his fleet. It offers a commanding view of Magen’s Bay and the surrounding islands. From there, continue to Magen’s Bay, where you will have two hours to experience the crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and spectacular palm-fringed coastline. Enjoy plenty of swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, and just plain relaxing before your return drive to the ship.

Enjoy a scenic tour boat ride along St. Thomas’ south shore to visit the island of St. John, the “Emerald of the Caribbean.” Once there you’ll take a guided hike and visit the beach at Virgin Islands National Park. After visiting the interpretive Visitor Center, begin your hike on a lush, forested trail. You’l’l climb to an overlook (a half-mile at 160 feet in elevation). Learn about the trees and flowers that you encounter, wildlife and sea birds, and the history of the ancient Taino Indians and the planters’ era. A further half-mile walk offers breathtaking vistas of St. Thomas and many of the nearby British Virgin Islands. At Honeymoon Beach, an idyllic, palm-fringed strand, enjoy a refreshing swim in crystal- clear waters or relax under the shade of a coconut tree. From there the trail continues through Caneel Bay’s colorful Botanic Gardens. See the ruins of an 18th-century Danish sugar plantation and factory. Enjoy a five-minute picturesque ride in an open-air safari bus along the scenic North Shore Drive of the National Park to the charming village of Cruz Bay. This is where you will meet the ferry for the transfer back to the ship.
